BYOB— March 1 – The story of Noah and the flood in Genesis 6:1–9:17 is a long and complex saga. Today we begin a three-week mini-study by looking at the passage side-by-side with flood stories from other Mesopotamian cultures. We will look at how the stories are similar, how they diverge, and what these divergences tell us about the distinctiveness of Israel and its God.
