On June 5, our topic is Nurturing Natural Spirituality. We will welcome back the Rev. Jim Burklo, Senior Associate Dean, USC Religious and Spiritual Life, for a lively conversation on a topic that should be of particular interest to parents and grandparents. Emerging brain and behavioral science has established to be imperative for nurturing the natural spirituality of young people. The data shows that this nurture results in good life outcomes, and failing to do so can result in negative outcomes for children and young adults. Jim will describe his latest project: Souljourning (http://souljourning.org/), providing resources to support young people in their spiritual development, and will share his “toolkit” for parents (and grandparents). We will begin at 8:30 AM in the Assembly Hall or online at http://zoom.us/j/3103723898 All are welcome.
