Are You New Here?
Worship service is held every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early enough to get settled prior to the start of service. When you hear the church bell ring, you’ll know you have five minutes to go. Services are one hour long.
Finding Your Way Around MBCC
There are two primary areas where you can park at MBCC. On the Peck Ave. side of the property, there is a small parking lot in front of the main entrance to the sanctuary generally reserved for handicapped and older adults. Immediately south of the Peck Ave. entrance is another driveway (for the MBUSD Administrative Building), where you will find a large parking area and a stairway leading up to the church campus. There is also plenty of parking on Peck Ave. itself.
Alternatively, a large parking lot can be accessed from Voorhees Ave. just off Meadows. The sanctuary is at the top (east) end of the church property.
As you enter the church, feel free to stop by the Welcome Table or introduce yourself to our ushers and greeters. They can help you with any information you may need as you make your way around.
Children are welcome to attend the entire service. A quiet area is provided in the narthex for parents who wish to listen to the service – and small children wishing to be heard themselves!
Children, from pre-school age through middle school, are invited to join our “Bible Explorers” Sunday school program. Sunday schoolers join their parents in the sanctuary for the beginning of the service. After a call to worship, invocation and recitation of the Lord’s Prayer, MBCC teen “shepherds” lead children out of the sanctuary to the Sunday school building (shared with the Montessori School). Parents can pick their children up after service or meet them in the playground area.
After service, the congregation meets in the lower courtyard for coffee, conversation … and donuts. This is the perfect opportunity to get to know the church membership and learn more about what’s going on at MBCC.
For those seeking additional inspiration Sunday morning, adult discussion group meets at 8:30 in Assembly Hall. Interesting topics and enlightening conversation make this a great way to start the day.
We hope you have a chance to visit us soon. If you still have questions about what to expect at MBCC, please contact the church office at 310.372.3587.
