Join us this summer at Manhattan Beach Community Church for an unforgettable Vacation Bible School adventure. Kids will crack codes, solve puzzles, play high-energy games, and five into powerful Bible stories as they discover how God breaks us out of fear, doubt, and worry -- and leads us into something extraordinary. Through an exciting escape-room theme, kids will explore the stories of Jonah, Davis, Daniel, Peter and the greatest breakout of all: JESUS! Each day is packed with crafts, meaningful Bible moments, and tons of fun. Come experience BREAKOUT -- Where Faith, Freedom, and Fun Collide!

Our VBS program runs from June 15-June 19, 2026, Monday through Friday. Daily activities begin at 9:00AM and end at Noon. Drop-off opens 15 minutes before the program begins, and pick-up starts promptly at closing time.

All activities are held on the Manhattan Beach Community Church campus at 303 South Peck Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA. 90266 You’ll receive a campus map and check-in instructions before the first day.

VBS is open to children entering grades 1st-5th.

Each summer features a fun, engaging theme that helps kids explore faith through stories, music, crafts, and games. This year’s theme is modeled after an escape room and is called Breakout!

A typical day includes: 
  • Opening celebration and music 
  • Bible storytelling 
  • Crafts and hands-on activities
  • Outdoor games
  • Snack time
  • Small-group reflection and connection 
Our approach is gentle, inclusive, and age-appropriate, encouraging curiosity and joy.

Registration is $75 per child. This includes all materials, snacks, and a VBS t-shirt. Scholarships are available — we want every child to participate.

Your child’s safety is our top priority. We follow best practices including: ● Background checks for all volunteers and staff ● Mandatory child-safety training ● Secure check-in and check-out procedures ● Clearly defined adult-to-child ratios ● Emergency and evacuation plans

During registration, you can share any allergies, medical needs, or accommodations. Our team reviews this information carefully and ensures: ● Allergy-safe snacks ● Clear labeling and communication ● Medication policies that prioritize safety and clarity

Yes. MBCC is a welcoming, affirming, and inclusive community. We support: ● Children with disabilities or sensory needs ● LGBTQ+ families and children ● Neurodiverse learners ● Kids who need extra time, space, or support If your child has specific needs, we’re happy to partner with you.

We recommend: ● A labeled water bottle ● Sunscreen applied before arrival ● Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes ● Any necessary medical items (checked in with staff) We provide all craft materials and daily snacks.

We often capture joyful moments to share with families and our congregation. You’ll be asked to complete a media consent form during registration. We honor all opt-outs.

VBS is led by our Children and Family Ministries Team, supported by trained volunteers, youth helpers, and pastoral staff. Our leaders are passionate about creating a safe, joyful, and faith-filled experience for every child.
