Together We Can: Addressing the Needs of the Unhoused in the Pandemic and Beyond

Our speaker will be Gary Painter, Ph.D., professor in the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy where he serves as chair of the Department of Public Policy, Director of the Center for Social Innovation and Director of the Homelessness Policy Research Institute. Professor Painter is an economist and has carried out extensive research on homelessness and housing in LA, as well as education and social innovations. He will be speaking on homelessness, including a description of the unhoused and its causes, related economic factors, policy solutions, roles that churches might play, and the central role that racial equity might play in reducing the problem.
