Sylvia

Sylvia Miller began her ministry at Manhattan Beach Community Church in October, 2018. Before moving to California, she was the Director of Children and Youth at First Congregational Church of La Grange, Il. While there, she began her journey toward ordination with the Chicago Metropolitan Association.

Sylvia grew up in a small town in southwest Missouri and graduated from Drury University with B.A.s in Psychology and Religion. Afterward, she moved to Chicago to receive her Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary.

Sylvia and her comedian husband Patrick enjoy going to improv shows, looking for new and exciting restaurants to try and playing board games with their best friend and roommate Brianne.

Sylvia has a passion for continuing to find new ways to show God’s extravagant love in our communities. She believes that relationships are key to creating a loving and worshipful environment.
