Adult Discussion Group – “400th Anniversary of Pilgrims Landing in the New World” – Dr. Peggy BendrothAll Events
November 22 @ 8:30 am - 9:45 am
“400th Anniversary of Pilgrims Landing in the New World” will be our topic this Sunday. In November 1620, English Pilgrims arrived at what would become Plymouth, Massachusetts. As we all know, the Pilgrims left England in search of religious freedom, going first to Holland, and then twelve years later, sailing to America. Much of this Pilgrim history is preserved at the Congregational Library and Archives in Boston (a mere 40 miles north of Plymouth). This history will be presented to ADG by the recently-retired Director of the Congregational Library, Dr. Peggy Bendroth. The library was founded prior to the Civil War, and serves all Congregational churches, both UCC and non-UCC. All ages are welcome. We begin at 8:30 AM virtually on Zoom at https://zoom.us/j/3103723898.
To join the Zoom meeting click on this link: https://zoom.us/j/3103723898. You will be given the option to join via browser or install the Zoom app (free and easier).
