The idea of questioning God, let alone disagreeing with God is a strange and uncomfortable one for us. We’re more used to the idea that we should–like the old hymn says– “trust and obey” without ever questioning or challenging God. It can be surprising to discover that there is a biblical tradition of arguing with God. It’s not just anyone either, but heroes of faith like Abraham, Jacob, Moses, Job, and even Jesus.
When is it good to argue with God? How do we do it? all did it at some point in their lives. Those confrontations could be di difficult, and those confrontations can help us learn some important things about our faith.
Join us as the Tuesday Bible Study takes a three part look at arguments with God in the Bible. Rev. Baugh leads the classes, which meet in the choir room at noon on Tuesdays.
