Did you know that there were more than four Gospels? Did you know that there were more than four Gospels?
In the first three centuries of Christianity there were more than two dozen Gospels in circulation. We only know some from mentions by ancient writers, others exist only as tiny fragments, but we have some in complete (or nearly complete) form and they tell us a lot about the diversity of early Christianity.
Join Rev. Baugh for a 6 part study covering some of the best known alternative Gospels. We will look. at who wrote them, why they were written, what they have to say about some of the oldest arguments of faith and theology, and why they didn’t make the final cut.
The class meets in the Choir Room on Wednesdays at noon, Beginning on January 16.
