Thursday, July 21, 2011 Last day in Lucerne
Rainy morning in Lucerne, but that did not dampen our spirits for the 2 hour walking tour of Lucerne. Our guides were very knowledgable and spoke very good English. Lucerne is another example of very old European cities. The original 11th century towers for the old town fortifications are still standing. Some of the13th century building murals still look good. Why do we have to paint our houses every 10 to 20 years??
Our last concert was a 6:30 pm Catholic service participation. We did 7 numbers. The priest was happy to have us there. After the service, we had our traditional farewell dinner. We did our normal..."this was a great tour"..."sights were amazing"..."can't wait until our next tour", etc. The groupies (our non-singers) did a funny skit and Ray closed the evening with his traditional poem about the trip. Great job, Ray!
