Finding Your Way Around MBCC
A one-hour worship service is held every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early enough to get settled before the service starts. The “gonging” of the large church bell indicates that the church service will start in five minutes.
Click here for map showing parking areas. There are two primary areas where you can park at MBCC.
On the Peck Ave side (east side) of the property, there is a parking lot in front of the main entrance to the sanctuary which is mostly reserved for handicapped and older adults. Also on Peck Ave, immediately south of our Peck Ave entrance, is another driveway (for the MBUSD Administrative Building) leading to a large parking area and a stairway to the church campus. There is also plenty of street parking on Peck Ave itself.
Alternatively, a large parking lot on the west side of the church sanctuary can be accessed from Voorhees Ave, just off Meadows Ave. The church sanctuary is at the top (east) end of the church property.
As you enter the church, feel free to stop by the Welcome Table or introduce yourself to our ushers and greeters. They can help you with any information you may need as you make your way around.
Click here for information about activities for children. Click here for information about Sunday School. Children are welcome to attend the entire church service. A quiet area is provided in the narthex for parents who wish to listen to the service without disturbing it – and for their small children wishing to be heard themselves !
Children, from pre-school age through middle school, are invited to join our “Bible Explorers” Sunday School program. Sunday Schoolers join their parents in the sanctuary for the beginning of the service. After a call to worship, invocation, and recitation of the Lord’s Prayer, MBCC teenage “shepherds” lead children out of the sanctuary to the Sunday School building (shared with the Montessori School). Parents can pick up their children after the service or meet them in the playground area.
After service, the congregation meets in the lower courtyard/Patio for coffee, conversation … and donuts.
This is the perfect opportunity to get to know church members and learn more about what’s going on at MBCC.
